The sandwiches they make are fantastic. Choice of several meats, cheeses, and bread and lots of condiments too. Made to order right in front of you. The amount and size of meat slices overwhelms the bread. It is piled high and hangs off all sides of the sandwich bread. So good. The price they charge is a lot less than nearby sandwich shops which are mostly bread with some sandwich fixings. I also like their deep fried chicken. The pieces are huge with lots of crispy batter. They are lower priced than nearby chicken places for sure. I am on a low salt diet and the batter is a little salty for me. But I cheat once in awhile and get the chicken (don't tell my doctor) because I enjoy it so much. One thing I observed is they care about cooking the chicken to the correct temperature. They use one of those insta-temp thermometers and will not serve it until correct temp even if people, like me, are waiting for it. That's a very good thing! I find the people that work there very friendly and courteous especially the ladies that work in the deli.

Always a pleasant experience visiting the Hop In. I'm a HUGE fan of their corn dogs (somehow they just taste better than others) and always call ahead to order freshly made one before heading there. Lynn is such a welcoming, helpful and kind person. Happy Independence Day and thanks for being my go to place for corn dogs

Excellent fried chicken and reasonable prices. I appreciate the staff and I what I presume are the owners being so friendly and willingness to help with a smile--sadly this is not common elsewhere. I will definitely return for other fried delicious foods again

The chicken here is better than ezells i feel like. It's juicy and the jojos are good too

I ordered the 6 pieces fried chicken plus joes (big slices of fries) here. I have to say the portion is huge. I eat a lot but I had to split this into 2 meals. And it's cheap. I paid around 16 bucks (tax and tip) I think. The chicken is moist and crunchy. Flavor can be improved a little bit but I like that it's not salty like other places. And also, you can order them fresh by calling them around 30 mins before picking up.

What a great deli to have in the neighborhood. We've come in here twice now and both times the food has been great. I would definitely chose them over the grocery store deli.

Eat here. Seriously. Don't bother with KFC or Ezell's because the fried chicken (not to mention JoJos), burritos and everything here is fresh, delicious and served by the kindest folks around. Hop In has been around since the dinosaurs but they've remodeled, upgraded and are very nice. And they're local, that's important to me because family businesses need to thrive. That matters to me. The gas is good- don't know the brand (Texaco, I think?) but you can use your Safeway rewards to get a discount. Yay! The car wash is awesome, fits my Chevy 2500 heavy duty no problem and gets her clean. They've got vacuums as well- vacuums and car wash are right behind the store. Parking lot is easy to get in and out of, this is my favorite gas station around.

I finally did it. After scoping this place for a while, and with the recent disappointment of Ezell's (I know), I finally went in with zero to little expectation that the fried chicken would be any good. I mean, why should I expect anything spectacular? After all, it WAS from a convenience store/gas station. And it's true with the previous Yelp reviews! I don't even know if this is even possible, but the fried chicken breast was moist, hot, crunchy and not even all that greasy. I've eaten alot of fried chicken, and let me tell you, usually by the time you get home, the container or bag would be drenched in oil. But not this place, it is the least greasiest (is that even a word?) fried chicken I have ever tasted. Ezell's can learn a thing or two here. They got the breading on point. I got the 3-piece meal, which came with a breast, two drumsticks, and some jo-jos for $4.99. For the meals, you can choose between the wings or drumsticks. Make sure you drop by here, after picking up those Maple Bar donuts from Chucks. LOL
